sunday afternoons are for fun portraits

in order to get ourselves acquainted with our freshly arranged shooting space (and to have some fun!), we offered our services free of charge to anyone willing to be photographed.  we received a lot of inquiries and ended up meeting some seriously interesting people.  pictured below, sisters jacquie and louise nervously giggle through their first professional photo shoot as andreas captures their luminous energy.

painting the town red

…actually we’re painting our new office! we’ve just expanded across the hall into an amazing studio space, and we have been busy making it into the spurious noise studio headquarters. the best way for us to feel at home is to be surrounded by our signature scarlet.

3...2...1... BLAST OFF

spuriousnoisestudio.com is officially launched!  welcome to our site, please feel free to stay a while and take a look around...
like what you see?  check back often, we're constantly updating the photo log in addition to creating new and exciting things to experience on the main page, in the showcase, and in our portfolios.

interns do amazing things

and that is exactly what we expect to see from the newest members of the SNS team, chris and tianna. both recent graduates of ma universities, these photographers have the skills and the drive to create remarkable images.  they've decided to help us out around the studio before they make it big... and we really appreciate it!  check out their profiles on the photographers page for some samples of their work.

In Nomine Patris... hot off the presses

today we received copies of the spurious noise studio's first publication, In Nomine Patris, a memoir by sophie nakueira.  a big congrats goes out to sophie and the entire SNS publishing team!  for more information, please visit www.innominepatris.com.

happy new year 2008

happy new year!  expect big things from the SNS team in 08...

recognized girls project

today the studio was utilized by a group of young ladies from the teen media program at the cambridge community art center. the girls came to complete the final step from their "recognized girls" project.  each girl constructed a photograph which recreated a scene from a painting depicting a woman in a traditional role.  their recreations posed the woman in each painting as how she would be seen today, using themselves as the models.

BAM installation

today we shot an installation for up and coming cambridge based architectural group BAM (ballistic architectural machine). amidst thousands of delicately hung lights and metallic orbs, liz wanders around in the BAM galaxy helping to create the shot that the group will use in their first annual christmas card.

yet another successful addition to the ongoing bodyscapes project.  turning the rules on opposition, this project is comprised of images where we have meticulously placed miniature landscapes upon our very patient models.
